Geodome on the Brewster River
Jeffersonville, Vermont

  • The Experience

Wake up surrounded by nature inside a warm, light-filled geodesic dome perched on the banks of the Brewster River. The Riverside Geodome at the Base of Smugglers’ Notch offers a rare mix of off-grid tranquility and resort-side adventure. Fall asleep to the sound of the river, sip coffee as the morning mist lifts from the mountains, and end your day stargazing from the riverside hot tub. Whether you’re here for a romantic getaway, solo reset, or peaceful retreat in nature, this year-round glamping escape puts you steps from Vermont’s most iconic trails — and miles away from ordinary.

  • The Space

Inside the dome, comfort meets simplicity. A plush memory-foam queen bed sits beneath the geometric skylight so you can drift off under the stars. A propane stove keeps the space warm and cozy through all four seasons, and the kitchenette includes everything you need for light cooking — a mini-fridge, microwave, hot plate, kettle, and dishware. Outside, you’ll find a fire pit, picnic table, and your own private stretch of river for swimming, yoga, or morning meditation. While this is still a glamping experience — with no running water and a nearby private porta-potty for bathroom use — the cozy heat, inviting design, and peaceful setting make it easy to relax, recharge, and reconnect with nature.

  • Guest Access

Guests have full private use of the dome and its outdoor area along the Brewster River, including a picnic table, fire pit, and secluded swimming hole. You’ll also have access to a shared riverside hot tub just steps away — open year-round and maintained daily. The property borders Smugglers’ Notch Resort, giving you direct access to its vast trail network for hiking, snowshoeing, biking, and more. Located just off Notch View Road, the dome sits on a quiet stretch that also hosts a few other glamping units and the owner’s home, creating a peaceful, well-kept retreat with a friendly, communal feel. Please note: in winter, the Notch Road to Stowe is closed — the dome remains fully accessible and comfortably heated, but it’s a true Vermont glamping adventure, not a climate-controlled home.
