The Experience

Welcome to the newest gem at Uncommon Accommodations — a sleek, modern A-frame treehouse perched above the Lamoille River. This one-bedroom retreat offers a full kitchen, bathroom, cozy loft sleeping area, indoor fireplace, and a string-lit deck perfect for magical evenings under the stars. Whether you’re sipping coffee by the water or relaxing fireside, every moment here balances comfort, style, and serenity.

Designed as a dreamy escape for couples, creatives, and nature lovers alike, the treehouse invites you to slow down, breathe deeply, and reconnect with the beauty around you. Guests enjoy private access via a keypad lock, convenient parking just steps away, and an on-site EV charger. Wander down to the river for a swim or cast a line, then unwind in the shared hot tub as the sun sets through the trees. It’s a place where modern design meets the quiet magic of Vermont.

The Uncommon Accommodation

Perched among the trees and accessed by a private footbridge, this elevated A-frame feels both adventurous and luxurious — a modern interpretation of a timeless design. Thoughtfully envisioned by local architect Raymond Boutin and brought to life by craftsman Todd Miller, the treehouse is a celebration of artistry and material harmony.

Inside, warm maple veneer walls, Douglas fir beams, and red oak spiral stair treads complement the rich Brazilian hardwood floors, creating a space that’s both sophisticated and inviting. Every angle — from the steep roofline and spiral staircase to the custom round couch and handcrafted dining table — has been designed to elevate the classic A-frame into something extraordinary. Surrounded by whispering pines and the gentle flow of the Lamoille River below, this one-of-a-kind retreat is not just a stay, but an experience of design, nature, and tranquility in perfect balance.

What People Are Saying
★★★★★

“Our first time in Vermont and it couldn’t have been more perfect! Probably my favorite part of the trip was waking up in the morning with a cup of coffee, turning on the wood stove and looking at the amazing view of the river and mountains!”

— Chris C

“We loved our stay at this beautiful A-frame. It is so clear that tremendous thought went into every detail of the design. We loved how easy it was to bike to the rail trail, and then relax in the hot tub after our ride. We left feeling relaxed and eager to return”

— Aubrey M

“We had a great time at the A-Frame! Every detail was thought of and it was such a nice place to stay. The property had beautiful views and it was well maintained. We thought it was easy to access and there were instructions everywhere to help. The host was extremely responsive and very accommodating when we need to extend our check out. We liked being right outside of downtown Stowe, it was much more peaceful, but close enough to visit every day.”

— Taylor M
Cincinnati, Ohio

“My boyfriend and I spent a week at the A-frame and we both left dragging our feet because we did not want to go!! We go to VT multiple times a year and this has been our best stay yet. It was everything we could have asked for. The place was exactly as pictured and though it was on a shared property, we still had our privacy and the location made it extremely peaceful. One morning I watched a bear fishing in the river from the back deck!!
We split our time making day trips to different Vermont towns and even took a trip out to New Hampshire.
Tyler was a great host and very responsive.
Genuinely couldn’t have asked for more!!!”

— Melissa H

“Uncommon Accommodations was more than accommodating!! I told them I was asking my girlfriend to marry me & they made sure our space was perfect! The engagement went off without a hitch & my now Fiancée LOVED the A-Frame! It was beautiful, & the vibes were simply *chefs kiss* thanks!!!.”

“If I could give Uncommon Accommodations more than 5 stars, I would. From the moment I booked, the communication was warm, professional, and genuinely welcoming. The space itself? Absolutely unforgettable. Every detail has clearly been designed with intention — equal parts comfort, creativity, and pure “wow.” You don’t just stay here, you experience it. From the spotless cleanliness to the unique touches that make the place live up to its name “Uncommon,” it feels like stepping into a carefully curated retreat rather than a rental. I honestly didn’t want to leave. What really sets this stay apart, though, is Tyler himself. He goes above and beyond in ways you don’t expect but deeply appreciate. Tyler has built something truly special here, and it shows in every interaction and every corner of the property. If you’re lucky enough to find an open date, do yourself a favor: book it immediately. You won’t regret it.”
