The Experience
Step aboard The Caboose, a one-of-a-kind tiny house that celebrates creativity, comfort, and a dash of nostalgia. Perched along the Lamoille River at Uncommon Accommodations, this converted railway-inspired retreat blends bold design with Vermont’s natural beauty — a perfect escape for those who crave something a little different.
Outside, you’ll hear the sound of the river rolling by and see the Green Mountains rise in the distance. Inside, you’ll find a colorful, cozy space filled with personality and warmth. Mornings might start with coffee on the deck as mist drifts off the river, followed by a dip in the swimming hole or a soak in the outdoor hot tub beneath the trees. Evenings invite you to curl up by the propane fireplace, cook dinner in your compact kitchen, and settle into the slow rhythm of life by the water.
Whether you’re a couple seeking a romantic retreat, a small family exploring Vermont’s outdoors, or a creative soul in search of inspiration, The Caboose offers an unforgettable stay where whimsy meets tranquility.

The Space
Every inch of The Caboose Tiny House is designed to surprise and delight. Its eclectic interior combines vintage touches, modern comforts, and clever design that makes tiny living feel anything but small.
The main living area features a convertible futon couch that transforms into an additional sleeping space, ideal for kids or an extra guest. A propane fireplace keeps the space toasty and inviting through Vermont’s cooler months, while large windows fill the cabin with natural light and views of the forest beyond.
The kitchen includes all the essentials — a cooktop, microwave, refrigerator, and coffee maker — for easy home-cooked meals. Climb up to the sleeping loft, where a cozy full bed awaits under the warm glow of soft lighting. The private bathroom offers a shower with endless hot water, so comfort never takes a back seat to adventure.
Step outside to your private deck, where you can sip wine, stargaze, or listen to the steady rhythm of the river flowing just below. This is not your average tiny house — it’s a playful, design-forward experience that celebrates Vermont’s creative spirit.
